SMALL GROUPS Pickerington Christian Church wants the relationships that are forged within its walls to be relationships for a lifetime. Someone once said that we should “find some good people and grow old together. “ To that end, we see everything we do as an opportunity to build relationships. Our Small Groups, then, can take many different forms – classes, service teams such as the praise team or ushers, and folks who find themselves in the same season of life – like parents of small children or recent college grads.
YOUTH GROUPIn Matthew 22 Jesus is questioned by a Pharisee. He is asked what the greatest commandment is. Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” If Christ said these words then it seems fairly obvious that as followers of Christ we should strive after these things. Love is a powerful action. Note love is an action; it is not a passive word. As Christians we are called to love God and to love others. Thus that mean we must LOVE GO!
LOVE GO is Pickerington Christian Church youth ministries’ mission statement. Everything we do will revolve around these things. Our strongest desire is to teach, encourage, and challenge you to live this mission statement out. While doing this we pray God would use you to bring the message of Christ into the lives of others both in Pickerington and beyond.
MEN'S GROUP On the first and third Saturday of each month, we gather from 8-9 am to connect with one another and study. This group is more of a class than a relational group, but many of the discussions within the group lead to relationships built outside of our hour together.
WOMEN'S GROUP Each Tuesday during select times of the year many of our women gather to study. Sometimes they study at the feet of Beth Moore via her video lessons, sometimes they’ll study through a book and be self taught. Always they strive to grow closer to one another and to Jesus because of their time together.
KIDS MINISTRIES God’s loves children. In Matthew 20:14 it says, “Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” Pickerington Christian Church’s children’s ministry revolves around these words of Christ. From Sunday morning children’s programs to Sunday evening AWANA our goal is to let the children come to Him. From lessons, to games, to prayer our ultimate goal is to walk alongside your child as they learn that they are Love by God and they too should Love God.
